(1) Removal of impurities: First remove the empty shell fruits, branches, leaves, and fruit pear fibers with small specific gravity by using a vibrating screen and an air
separator; then use water immersed and stirred method to remove impurities, stones and sediments with larger specific gravity.
(2) Classification: In order to facilitate the shelling process, the shelled cashews after the impurity removal and the natural evaporation of the surface water are sorted according to the particle size, and the drums or screens with the apertures of 20 to 24 mm and 16 to 20 mm are used respectively. Grading, the shelled cashew is divided into large, medium and small three;
The graded shelled cashews are loaded into corresponding utensils or bags and marked;
(3) Steam heating: In order to effectively separate the nutshell and nuts for shell-breaking processing and increase the whole kernel rate, the classified shelled cashew nuts are placed in a steam cooker heated with clean water and heated. Temperature 105 ~ 130 °C, heating time 10 ~ 40 min;
(4) Rapid cooling: The heated shelled cashews are quickly removed and immediately stored in a cold room at a temperature of 4 to 10 °C;;
(5) Shelling: The shelled cashews that have been heated and cooled are shelled by a cashew shelling machine. In the process, in order to ensure the whole kernel rate of kernels that are damaged by shelling, the present invention uses a self-made cashew sheller to perform shell breaking, wherein different grades of shelled cashews use different knife lengths, and the large fruit is 9 to 12 mm in size. 7 ~ 8mm, small fruit 5 ~ 6mm.
(6) Screening: Because the specific gravity of shell and shell residue is smaller than that of kernel, shaker and wind separator can be used to separate shells and nuts after shelling.
